I signed up for a YouTube account really early on, way back in 2005. I uploaded a handful of poor-quality videos of myself playing guitar, and random attempts at vlogging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At several points in time I found myself thinking, “Videos are the future. I should get into the habit of making videos.” I made some from time to time. But I never quite kept the habit up. I did accumulate 200+ subscribers slowly over time, though I’m not even sure if they’re all people, or who they are, or why they’re following me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meantime, I grew quite an audience on Twitter<\/a>. And recently I decided that I was going to start doing book reviews on Twitter. I’ve done three of them so far at the time of this writing. I hit 250 subscribers<\/a>, and announced that I am making it a goal to “get more YouTube subscribers than Twitter followers” in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Couple of hours later, I’m at 277 subs.
