reorient

At my last 1-1 with Dinesh we were talking about quicker reorientation after failure. We were talking about my motivations, and I said that I was feeling rather disassociated. And he asked me how I expected to feel. And at some point he asked, how do you think most high-functioning people feel about failure most of the time – how often are they achieving their goals?

And it ended up leading to a same thought I’ve had before – reorient quicker after failure. You can’t avoid failure. Failure is going to happen. You can reduce the odds of the next failure. But when you’re failing, you can’t change that. You need to rest and recover and reorient as quickly as possible after that failure.
