i’ve known for a long time that i want to write something about diablo

i could do the memoir thing but really i think i want to write something oddly specific about the player’s interface

just posted another twitter thread that scratched this itch but i think i’ll come back to it

also want to talk about the vibes? tristram theme, youtube comment… how simple it can be to get really dark and ominous. you have fewer abilities and powers.

also i’m curious to know the impact/influence of diablo on wider culture? megan fox in the advertising for D4, and a halsey song

i was introduced to diablo 2 by sandesh, he was playing a sorceress

i completed all of D2 at another friend’s house, wen quan, and I wonder about that sometimes. why did he… invite me to his house… to play a video game on his computer? and he just watched me play?
