I have 121 posts tagged “directives”. These are things that I’d like to use to shape my behavior. Directives include\u00a0“honor your taste”, “start over again”, “make stuff you like”, “heal yourself by helping others”, “go running every week for mental clarity”, “navigate by excitement”. These can definitely be grouped. I should draw up a sort of model that all of these directives fit under.<\/p>\n
Next is procrastination. I have 76 posts tagged procrastination. Which makes sense, I have been troubled by my procrastination for decades now, and have been wanting to get better at it. What’s in there, even?? Let’s take a look. Oh, it’s also directives. I think this should definitely be a blogpost. “Everything I’ve written about procrastination in the past 5 years”.<\/p>\n
The third tag is “writing” \u2013 which seems like a bad\/useless tag, considering that… everything is writing. It looks like it’s about my approach to writing. “Write to gratify yourself”, “write on your commutes”, “think strategically about your writing projects”. This too, I think should be a blogpost \u2013 “how I’ve tried to shape my own attitude towards writing”.<\/p>\n
Next we have “status update”, which appear to be things like “turned 27”, “feeling existential” and so on. I think it would be useful to try and connect the dots across them \u2013 what has been consistent from birthday to birthday? What has changed? That’s worth a post.<\/p>\n
Next we have “truths”. I think many of these posts are worth turning into entire blogposts themselves. “Bullshit breaks down at the boundaries” is a good one. “Conversations are plagued by silent evidence” is another. “Freedom requires violence” is particularly inspired. Let’s turn each of these into a post on my main blog, as appropriate.<\/p>\n
Next we have… behavior design! This is interesting, these are things I put together to help me plan my behavior change. There’s stuff about my habits, my environments… I think this is something that will probably all go into a single post.<\/p>\n
Then we have Questions, which is a little different from the rest \u2013 perhaps different in the same way that “status update” is different. It’s a tag for a type of inquiry, but into all sorts of different topics. This actually feels like a tag I don’t have to take any followup action about; everything can be dealt with via the other tags.<\/p>\n
Next… TIME. This is all about time… management, mostly? And some stuff about time perception. This deserves a post, maybe two posts (one for management and one for thinking about time in general).<\/p>\n
Bugs. These are about brain bugs in my head! It goes with behavior design. Cataloging a list of bugs in a clear and coherent way will be interesting. Making it succinct, punchy, powerful… this will be a fun exercise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Review your stuff: this is basically me repeatedly reminding myself to review my stuff (which, at a meta level, is what I’m doing here).<\/p>\n

What shall the next vomit be? We haven’t finished going through all the tags. Should I go through the rest of the tags? That seems a little excessive. Before I wrote this, I found myself thinking that there was something I wanted to write… and chose to fulfil my promise to myself instead. What was that?
